Silicon combined with Graphene makes for a superior electrode compared to standard LiPo batteries. Hyperion proprietary Si-Graphene chemistry ensures that your G7 pack will have higher-capacity, lower internal resistance, and higher cycle life than the other-brand LiPo currently on the market. The G7 combines quality Graphene substrate with a Silicon metalloid to produce a Lithium battery that is uncompromised in performance and reliability. Hyperion’s proprietary Si-Graphene additive has been shown to be less prone to puffing than standard Silicon-only LiPo packs. Silicon-Graphene additive helps to preserve the Anode during discharging, thus increasing the batteries longevity and cycle-life.

The Journey towards Silicon-Graphene was not an easy one. How does one build the perfect silicon-graphene anode? The age-old mystery manufacturers have been puzzled by. Our journey first led to anodes made of nanowires or nanoparticles, which are so small, it makes the nano-structure less likely to break apart.

Making a battery anode made partially out of silicon-graphene has led to a more stable and higher energy-density per charge when compared to most of today’s commercial anodes available by other Industry leaders.

The particles used in Hyperion’s proprietary formula are very similar to materials used to make semiconductor chips. Silicon-Graphene is like bits of sawdust of all shapes and sizes. Our silicon-graphene particles can be just one to three microns in diameter.

For the graphene to work properly, it’s all in our coating. Silicon particles have to mate almost exactly. When silicon particles are joined it must be the exact thickness. Layers of silicon-graphene thus a catalyst that promotes conductivity.

Manufacturers have tried a number of other coatings for silicon anodes, but they all reduced the anode’s efficiency. Hyperion’s proprietary silicon-graphene coating is one that maintains high efficiency, and the reactions can be carried out at a wide-variety of temperatures and applications.

This new 2017 G7 Silicon-Graphene chemistry unleashes a new-era of potential for all your RC applications that require normal to extreme flying conditions and need the high voltage maintained at high discharge rates, for example highly aerobatic 3D airplanes, FPV drone racing, 3D helicopters, also Robotics and DIY projects.

Hyperion G7 Si-Graphene HvLi offer more capacity per weight compared to standard LiPo packs. The G7 2200mAh HV is about the same size and weight as a standard-voltage 2000mAh pack of same C-rate, but delivers about 10% more flight time! The new Silicon-Graphene additive helps to preserve the Anode from corrosion during use, thus preserving the Anode when operating at typical High-Voltage settings of 4.35V or more. The benefit of operating at High-Voltage (4.35V) is an increase of about 10% energy-density when compared to traditional 4.2V LiPo Batteries of the same size-and-weight.
