The Line Tracking Sensor for Arduino can detect the white lines in black and black lines in white. The single line-tracking signals can provide a stable TTL output signal and detect more accurate and stable line. Optional multi-channel mix is easy to install with the necessary line-tracking robot sensors.

The Track Sensor Module contains an IR Infrared reflection sensor that can be used for line following and edge detection. This sensor uses a TCRT5000 infrared reflection sensor to detect black lines drawn onto a white surface. Use this modules to enable your robot to follow a line. This module has an adjustable threshold that triggers a digital output. An LED indicator is provided to assist with debugging. Although this track sensor is intended for detecting lines, it can also be used to detect nearby obstacles and avoid table edges. This module is compatible with both 3.3V and 5V robot micro controllers.

Included with the package:

  • Arduino Compatible Line Tracking Sensor Module x 1

  • Power supply: +5V
  • Operating current: <10mA
  • Operating temperature range: 0°C ~ + 50°C
  • Output interface: 3-wire interface (1 - signal, 2 - power, 3 - power supply negative)
  • Output Level: TTL level (black line of low effective, high efficient white line)
  • Size: 10mm x 35mm
  • Weight: 1g

Note: The best distance between objects such as ground and the sensor is 1-2 cm.

Connection & Use: Connect your power supply to the Voltage (V) and Ground (G) pins. Read the digital output from the Signal (S) pin. The output signal will be LOW when a line or object is detected and HIGH otherwise. Adjust the level potentiometer to vary the threshold.
